CRITIQUE
Thank you all exhibitors for giving me the pleasure of going over your dogs. Your future looks good with all the young stock coming through. Personally I thought the bitches were better than the dogs, which I think is a good thing for the breed in the long term.
Best Veteran in Show: Royoni Knls Gr Ch Royoni He's True Blue
What an ambassador for the breed, a true Cocker in all ways. Would have taken the Dog CC had he been eligible.
Best Baby Puppy in Show: Royoni Knls Runcorn Heart Breaker Blue roan puppy well balanced, good reach of neck. Time will tell.
Runner up to Baby Puppy in Show: Petrowsky’s Elspan Bewitched Black a little model of a Cocker, very feminine.
Best Minor Puppy in Show: Petrowsky’s Elspan All That Glitters
Well made for age, sweet head and expression, moved well
Runner up to Minor Puppy in Show: Biggs’ Glenbrook Grand Ovation
A nice puppy not as mature as number one, never the less a promising youngster.
Best Puppy in Show: Petrowsky’s Elspan Flirt in a Skirt
Black, very short, well balanced, good legs and feet. Should have a good future.
Runner up to Puppy in Show: Little’s Robmond Rare Rusticana
I thought this was my winner when standing unfortunately was not the “Merry Cocker” but this will come with confidence. An orange, beautifully put together, must have a bright future when confident.
Best Junior in Show: Robinson’s Warrabala Woodland Trail Dark blue, kept topline when moving, sweet head and expression
Runner up to Junior in Show: Robinson’s Robmond Luna Symphonica
Again a nice blue, little between Best and Runner Up, obviously by the same sire.
Best Intermediate in Show: Petrowsky’s Elspan Sea Shantie Black, very short and compact. Good head and nice expression.
Runner up to Intermediate in Show: Markotany’s Bolwarra On Fire
Stylish, well presented, movement not as good as winner and a different type.
Best Australian Bred in Show: Bellamy’s Ch Belcroft Believe it or Not
Runner up to Australian Bred in Show: Bellamy’s Gr Ch Belcroft Its Showtime
Two nice Cockers that are littermates. A credit to their breeder who has bred to type both moved well no major faults.
Best Open in Show & Best Exhibit in Show: Royoni Knls’ Eng Sh Ch Lindridge Apricot Delight (Imp UK)
There is always one you are looking for when judging and this was it! Lovely head and expression with good neck and shoulders, short back, low set hocks. Merry movement just as a Cocker should have. A true English Cocker Spaniel.
Runner Up Best In Show & Reserve CC: Bellamy’s Ch Belcroft Dare to Dream Smart little bitch, very sound and compact. Unlucky to meet CC winner on the day.
Opposite Sex to Best in Show & Dog CC: Allen & Atkinson’s Ch Ryangaye Dom Perignon
Blue roan with exceptional ring presence. Larger than I like but he is still balanced. I personally do not call him a typical English Cocker. But that does not mean he won’t do a lot of winning. A very sound dog.
Reserve Dog CC: Markotany’s Ch Bolwarra Saint Nick
Blue and Tan, fell in love with him, love the colour. Preferred front movement of CC winner if only he had the ring presence of the winner he would have been my winner.
